Welcome to Pope Francis Preparatory School
Pope Francis High School was established in 2016 by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Springfield through the merger of Cathedral High School and Holyoke Catholic High School. In July 2018, the school will opens its doors as Pope Francis Preparatory School at its state-of-the-art campus on Wendover Road in Springfield. Building on the foundation of our legacy schools, Pope Francis provides a safe and caring educational environment where students from over thirty surrounding communities and several different nations come together to learn and excel, both in the classroom and in the community.
Students enrolled at Pope Francis will find a challenging college preparatory curriculum that accommodates a wide range of academic backgrounds. High-achieving students are provided the opportunity to engage in a rigorous academic program that includes: Honors, Advanced Placement, and Virtual High School courses. Students requiring extra attention will find one-on-one support from not only our teachers and guidance counselors, but our administration and staff as well. Academic excellence is a hallmark of Pope Francis Preparatory School.
In addition to our academic curriculum, Pope Francis students can explore their own potential through a number of extracurricular clubs and character-building activities, including our exceptional athletic teams.
