The administration of Pope Francis Preparatory School believes that athletics are an extension of the classroom, affording student-athletes opportunities for growth, learning, leadership and excellence. Pope Francis offers a variety of sports in the fall, winter and spring seasons. We encourage students of all abilities to get involved in our athletic programs. All athletes MUST have a valid physical on file with the school nurse in order to practice or tryout. Physicals are valid for a total of 13 months. All freshmen, juniors and transfer students also need to take the online Vital Signs Concussion Test (instructions for the test, and other paperwork required for athletic participation, can be found under the “Athletic Policies and Required Forms” tab)

The Winter Sports Banquet will be held on Monday 3/18/19. Tickets for the banquet are $15 for students and parents; senior athletes on a winter team may attend for free, but MUST purchase a ticket beforehand. Tickets can be purchased from Mr. Goda in the athletic office, and will be sold until Friday 3/8. After Friday 3/8, the ticket price increases to $25.
Winter Sports Information
Winter sports will begin on Monday November 26th. Tryout and Practice Information for each sport is posted below. All athletes interested in participating in a winter sport MUST have an up to date physical on file with the school nurse, and must submit all necessary paperwork online through SportsWareOnline.
The Fitness Area will be open every day before school from 6:30 – 7:15 am (unless otherwise announced in school or here). All students are welcome to use the Fitness Area during this time.
