Mr. Robert Brodeur
Robert Brodeur is a science teacher at Pope Francis Preparatory School. Prior to joining the faculty of PFPS, he taught science for 40 years at Cathedral High School. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and teacher certification from Westfield University and has done graduate work through Shoals Marine Laboratory (Isle of Shoals, N.H.), Cornell University (N.Y.), and Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute (Fla.) in aquaculture and marine science. In the fall of 2000, he was recognized with the Teaching Excellence Award sponsored by the Springfield Chamber of Commerce. In the summer of 2004, Robert participated in the Teacher-at-Sea program with scientists from UCONN aboard the NOAA research vessel Ron Brown, in an expedition out of Wood’s Hole Oceanographic Institution studying soft corals in canyons on the continental slope of George’s Bank along the New England coast. He is a current member of Massachusetts Marine Educators.
